How to set proxy in Android Phone

We all sometimes face problems regarding accessing some websites which are not allowed by the network we are connected to. i.e. Your school/university's wifi network doesn't a llow you to use social networking sites.

So, what do we do ?

We use VPN (Virtual Private Netwok), yes that's correct. But, what if we are using our Phone !!

Here, i will show you guys how you can use VPN in your phone also..

For Android Users only,

Step 1 : Goto Playstore and download and install Psiphon pro application.

Step 2 : Open the Application and it give you two options : Tunnel whole device OR Use Psiphon browser. Simply, click on Tunnel whole device.

(If you are not asked about options given in Step-2, go to options tab and select Tunnel whole device.) 

Step 3 : On the Home tab, Click on Start and wait for the procedure to get completed.

Motorola is gonna release the second generation of Moto E smartphones in India. It'll be two variants of this model Moto E 3G and 4G LTE. Moto E (2nd gen) 3G will be launched on flipkart on 10th march with the price of Rs 6,999. There is no date specified for the release of Moto E (2nd gen) 4G LTE version in India and the price estimated is 149.99$, 4G LTE version is gonna run on 1.2 GHz quad-core snapdragon 410 64-bit CPU.

So guyz, Here's some news about upcoming HTC One M9 mobile and by reviewing it's specifications one thing is sure that it's going to be the best model of HTC ever.

Google Maps 9.1 for Android now displays local weather, time, and tips about your destination

Google Maps 9.1 is a rather minor update, compared to the major Material Design overhaul in 9.0.

But it turns out there are some useful features tucked away, especially if you rely on the app for learning about a specific destination you’re visiting or scoping out places to go.

When you look up a place on Google Maps and touch the pin for more details, you’ll see the local weather, time, and a few other snippets of information. For example, the San Francisco Marriott Marquis (pictured) is described as having, “sophisticated rooms in a modern high-rise, plus business perks, indoor pool, and penthouse lounge. 4 stars.”

While the weather and local time appeared for Android Police in their APK teardown, they didn’t show up for us when testing out the new version. It could be one of those features that gradually rolls its way out to the ecosystem. Nonetheless, this will be especially helpful for planning travel to places a few time zones away or with drastically different weather conditions.

The impact on you: If Google Maps is your go-to app for checking out hotels, restaurants, or scanning for other cool stuff to see, then these new features could save you a couple of steps by putting them all in one app. Google is working to make Maps the all-in-one travel and destination tool so you don’t have to check in with competitors like Yelp for this information.

Android 5.0 vs iOS 8, best OS claimed ever !

Google, Inc. claims that Android 5.0 Lollipop, or Android L, is the most radical version of the operating system since its 2008 launch. Apple, Inc. too is proud to have released its most exciting iOS ever in iOS 8 and iOS 8.1. The two tech giants have battled over several market segments, but the OS layer is arguably one of the toughest to decide on.

The "sweet take on Android" has begun rolling out for a number of Nexus and Motorola devices last week. It boasts a number of improvements with the fluid "Material Design" at the core of the update. Android 5.0 Lollipop synchronizes Android smartphones and wearables.

The latest Android OS also presents users with options for less distractions and freedom to create their own rules. In fact, they can lend their handsets to family or friends without having to worry of privacy, since restrictions on access to certain applications can be applied.

Apple's iOS 8 design takes the opposite route and went for the "flat" look, which aids users to swipe swiftly.

If Android's primary goal is to refurbish the appeal and visual fidelity, the iPhone makers concentrated on performance. Apple clearly wants to let the apps talk to each other.

Just like Android 5.0 Lollipop, the iOS 8 launch was plagued with bugs and concerns from several users. Apple continues its debugging updates to its mobile OS via iOS 8.1 download.

A victory for Samsung

Samsung will make the majority of chips for future iPhones and iPads starting in 2016, according to Korea Times.
This is a big win for #Samsung.

This year, Apple switched away from Samsung and had a company called Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) make most of the iPhone and iPad chips, The Wall Street Journal reported. Samsung still made a a small percentage of Apple's chips, but it was a big loss of business. It's also part of the reason why Samsung's profits have been dropping like a rock this year.

But the new deal means Samsung will make 80% of Apple's iPhone and iPad chips again, the Korea Times reports. The deal is worth "billions," according to the report.

#Apple designs its own chips for the iPhone and iPad, but needs a manufacturing partner to actually build them. Historically, that manufacturer has been Samsung. But it switched to TSMC this year. Now it looks like TSMC isn't cutting the mustard, so it's back to Samsung again.

Lollipop update for Samsung users is expected in January

Samsung Electronics is still rolling out Android 4.4.2 KitKat and Android 4.4.4 KitKat updates to Galaxy smartphones and tablets but its Galaxy S and Note devices may receive the new software in January, 2015.
Google released Android 5.0 Lollipop OTA (Over-The-Air) update to the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 (2012 & 2013 editions), and Nexus 10 last week. Google Play Edition devices, including Sony Xperia Z Ultra, Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One M7, M8, LG G Pad 8.3, and Moto G will also get the software update.
It was reported that some of Samsung's devices might come with Android 5.0 Lollipop from December.
However, current users of Samsung devices may have to wait until January next year to receive Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Google Play Edition devices that will get Android 5.0 Lollipop update:

Motorola: Moto X (Gen 2.), Moto X (Gen 1.), Moto G (Gen 2.), Moto G (Gen 1.), Moto G 4G-LTE, Moto E, Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx, and Droid Mini.
But, seems like Moto G has already got the update !

Samsung: Galaxy S4, Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Note 4

Zenfone: Zenfone series 4, 5, 6, Padfone S (PF500KL) and Padfone Infinity (A89)

LG: LG G, G2 Pro, G Pro, G2, G3

Xiaomi: Mi 2 and Mi 2S

Leaked ! Xiaomi Mi3 is about to get Android 5.0 update soon

Xiaomi has been doing really well in the smartphone market lately. Since Xiaomi offers some of the latest features in a pocket friendly price, it gained a lot of attention and popularity. And now, rumours have it that Xiaomi is testing Android 5.0 #Lollipop update for the Mi3, which should be expected to be rolled out very soon.

Though, Xiaomi has not officially confirmed anything about the update, a picture posted has started these rumours.

According to the picture, the status screen of the Xiaomi Mi3 shows it running on Android 5.0 Lollipop, indicating that Xiaomi developers may be working on the new update. Since nothing official has been said, we can only speculate and wait for Xiaomi's next move.

Android 5.0 Lollipop source code release for Sony, AOSP flavored !

While we all were waiting for the official release of #Andoird 5.0 Lollipop, many manufacturers are pushing out previews or AOSP variants of lollipop to try our hands on.

As #Sony has published their source code for #AOSP Android 5.0 Lollipop for some of their best phones. The list includes #Xperia Z3, Z2 and Z.

What is AOSP ?
That is "Android Open Source Project", it means there are bit of bare bones version of OS. Actually this is not the release you're waiting for, This AOSP release is for the Custom ROM users to build a Lollipop ROM for your Sony phone. These pre-build software binaries and build instructions do not include Sony’s typical software, meaning, things like the camera and modem are not operational, but it's totally Okay.

So, what does this mean to most of us? Good news here folks, this is further confirmation of exactly which Sony devices will be getting the Android 5.0 Lollipop update soon.

• What size suits you better ?

Tablets usually comes in 3 sizes, small size (7 - 8.3"), medium size (8.9 - 10.1") and large size (10.1" and up). Each has it's own advantages and disadvantages depends on the uses of it so you need to get the perfect size that suits you.

If you're looking for a tablet to read e-books and checking e-mails, a small size will be better.

Medium size tablets are usually used to watch movies or series and playing games.

Moto G is the first Android device to receive Lollipop update !

Unless you’ve already got your hands on Google’s latest flagship Nexus 6 or Nexus 9 devices, you probably haven’t yet got a taste of Android 5.0 #Lollipop. If you’ve got an unlocked Moto G 2nd gen though, you can be among the first to try the newest version of Android with an over-the-air update.

Ars Technica reports that Motorola’s mid-range smartphone is the first device that’s already available, to receive the update in the form of a 386 MB download.

This update is rolling out ahead of those for Google Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 (2012 and 2013 editions) devices that run stock Android, and comes as a surprise to most Android users who have previously been used to seeing Nexus phones and tablets receiving updates first.

Android 5.0 Lollipop updates should arrive on other Moto and Nexus devices, as well as the LG G3  in the coming days, following a delay caused by a battery-draining bug that has since been fixed.

LG's Announcement

LG has just announced that they’ve claimed title of first manufacturer to deliver Android 5.0 Lollipop to the masses. The upgrade is headed to owners of their flagship Android phone LG G3 in Poland starting this week. LG didn’t have any news to share for other countries or regions, though we imagine they won’t be taking long to get the rollout going for folks in other parts of the world.

LG says they’re also planning to bring the upgrade to other LG smartphones at some point soon. We know the company is planning to deliver the goods to owners of last year’s LG G2, though a timeline isn’t immediately available.

Early leaked screenshots of Lollipop on the LG G3 didn’t show us much, but LG has seemingly stuck to their tried-and-true user interface sitting on top of the sweet treat. Notable changes in that leak were newly-styled notifications and a profile photo in the upper right corner of the notification pane. There wasn’t much else new compared to LG’s KitKat design, though it’s still unclear if that leaked screenshot was from an early build. We’ll be looking to track down the changelog for LG’s official Lollipop upgrade in the moments to come.

This breakneck pace of upgrades by Android’s prominent device manufacturers signals a huge shift in focus for the industry. Just a couple of years ago you’d be hard-pressed to hear anything about the latest versions of Android for your device for months at a time, but companies are beginning to note the importance of timely and frequent upgrades when it comes to developing a loyal consumer base.

Sony has also started teasing Lollipop on their Xperia Z devices, though the company hasn’t yet shared any detailed rollout schedules. NVIDIA promised the upgrade by the end of November for their SHIELD Tablet, while HTC committed to having the upgrade out within 90 days for the HTC One M7 and HTC One M8.

We hope this is a good sign that OEMs have finally realized just how important these upgrades are to users, and that they will look to have this attitude for many more versions of Android going forward.

LG G3 lollipop screenshots leaked !!

Many arms of LG’s mobile division have confirmed that the LG G3 was on track to receive Android 5.0 Lollipop by the end of this year, but in case you needed proof that they were well on their way to meeting those estimates then here it is. Newly leaked screenshots show Android 5.0 in its early stages with a bit of LG’s flavoring sitting on top.

The user interface still employs a pretty heavy dosage of LG influence, though the white-backed notifications and the circular profile icon in the upper right corner show a bit of Google’s Lollipop flair shining through.

The rest is pretty much standard affair, though it’s possible these screenshots could be very early on in the development process and that LG has more to do by the time the official update is scheduled to roll out. If anything, take this as a good sign that they’re set to meet their “end of 2014″ schedule for getting the update out for their best flagship smartphone yet.

Gmail 5.0

Gmail has done very interesting thing to it's new application, Gmail has opened it's doors to other E-mail services.Google has released it's new version of gmail mobile application, it's available to download for android.

It has made up a new look that google calls it "material design", which gives the illusion of varying depths for images on the screen. Material design is also a prominent aspect of the forthcoming update to Google's mobile operating system, Android Lollipop.

The new Gmail app is distinct from another recent email innovation from Google, which it's calling Inbox.

Inbox, released last month, makes your email into a kind of to-do list. It lets you do things like set reminders, bundle similar messages together in groups, call out the key information from important messages and hit "snooze" on messages you'd prefer to deal with later.
