Microsoft Surface Studio

Microsoft has uncovered an all in one Desktop called Surface Studio, which is going to give a tough competition to Apple's iMac.

28-inch touchscreen display at just 12.5 mm (Microsoft claims to be the thinnest)

It has 4.5k ultra HD screen, Surface Studio delivers 13.5 million pixels - or 192 pixels per inch, which is 63% more than a 4K television.

To interact with the screen it provides surface dial and a surface pen, even user can use their fingers.

Specs and features

Quad-core 6th Generation Intel Core processors, an NVIDIA GeForce graphics processor with up to 4GB memory, and up to 2TB storage, Even Graphical Processing Unit (GPU) is powerful enough to handle latest PC games or Virtual reality experience.

Front camera for video calling allows 1080p low light capabilities providing very good experience. Sound system is powered by Dolby Audio Premium with 2.1 stereo speakers.

Price

The Surface studio will be available in US for $2,999.

Release date

For US Pre-orders are now open, for UK and other countries release dates are not announced yet, but From the starting of January-2017 there's gonna be a lot of rush for this product.

Microsoft Lumia 535

Microsoft has sent out invites for an event on 26 November, which is expected to be the launch of the company’s first branded smartphone Microsoft Lumia 535.

Specifications :

• The Lumia 535 is said to feature a 5 inch screen along with dual 5MP rear and front facing camera. Basically three features that have the number 5 associated with them.
• The Microsoft Lumia 535 will sport a 5-inch IPS LCD display with a 540×960 pixels resolution with 220ppi.
•  It will be powered with 1.2GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB RAM. 
• The smartphone has an internal storage of 8GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
• The Lumia 535 will run on Windows 8.1 and have a 1905 mAh battery which is said to have a battery life for 11 hours of calls on a 2G network or 23 days on standby.

The Microsoft Lumia 535 also has another variant which will come with the same set of specifications except that it also has Dual-SIM support. The smartphone is rumoured to have a price in the range of Rs 8000 to Rs 10000.

Microsoft said the new phone will offer the same services that its high-end phones do. This means Skype video calls, Office apps and the virtual assistant Cortana should be there.

This Microsoft Lumia 535 will be the first smartphone to feature the only Microsoft brand name and doesn’t mention Nokia, who were originally listed as the makers under the Lumia brandname.

Microsoft Fitness tracker

Hello there !!..

Microsoft has released its own fitness tracker – for the moment in the US only, which means I haven’t been able to lay my hands on one. But plenty of people already have, and have written about their experience.

The Microsoft Band is roughly what it says it is – a wristband with a screen that shows various bits of data, such as how far you have run or walked, your heart rate and smartphone notifications (email, calendar, messages). And it has its own GPS, so that it knows where you’ve been while wearing it.

The problem that quite a few of the testers seemed to have was that they didn’t like wearing the brand.

There are some obvious questions here, such as why is Microsoft making a fitness tracker? This is a company better known to people of one generation as the maker of Windows and Office, and to another as the creator of the Xbox. Neither quite implies connection to knowing how many steps you’ve walked today or what your heartbeat is.

And Microsoft fans have delightedly pointed out that the band is “sold out” on the online Microsoft store. How many were sold? Well, that is not specified by Microsoft.

This is where we move into the real world that wearables have to fit into, or wrap around.

Unlike a desktop or even laptop computer, which can look ugly but still be wonderfully functional, wearable computers have to look and feel good. They’re an expression of ourselves and our choices: if you choose something that doesn’t look good, it’s not an accident, and all the functionality in the world won’t make up for the fact that you look as though you’re under house arrest. It’s a different era, one where designers’ skills will be at a premium.

But it’s not hard to think that it’s the companies with the best hardware design skills, allied to the best access to new technologies Like, how Samsung has a curved screen on its Gear Fit, because it makes the screens, and the best software that will succeed in the wearable era.
